Every villain needs an origin story so here’s mine. I was born in San Jose and lived there until 2018 when my family moved south to Escondido. That summer I became friends with a girl named Lucy Diaz. In our first year of high school Lucy and me became obsessed with the online world of horror stories. Because of problems at home and mental health issues we believed in those stories too deeply and decided that we had to run away together. During this time Lucy sadly passed away and subsequently I was put in a mental hospital. When Covid happened the hospital decided I’d be safer back home. Through hard work that year and throughout the summer I was able to graduate from high school at the same time as all my friends! In the fall of 2022 I began to do interviews with people who had known Lucy in order to put together some sort of project. I didn’t know what the end result would be but as I was listening to a lot of true crime podcasts I decided I would make my own.
